Title: Déficits nutricionales en la mujer deportista

Abstract: Females athlete's nutritional deficits cause numerous health problems and a worsening of her sports performance. Triad is the consequence of several factors related to nutritional deficiencies in female athletes. The knowledge of these deficits and their prevention must be the focus for sports managers. Therefore, the objective of this study is to determine the importance of studying the specific deficits that female athletes develop. Methods. A research of relevant articles related to the study's objective has been carried out. Scientific bases such as Pubmed or Pennutrition have been used, after setting the criteria for the inclusion and exclusion of the topics chosen for this study. The results selected for this review show the specific prevalence of energy, iron, vitamin D and calcium, a sufficient protein supply and a lack of studies to determine the evels of vitamin B12 and folic acid. In addition, they indicate the prevalence of female with one or more risk factors for the development of the female athlete triad. Conclusion. Prevention or, where appropriate, treatment of nutritional deficits in female athletes are essential to ensure her proper health and an optimal sports performance.
