Abstract: The aim of this work is to determine if serum ferritin levels influence on the incidence of postpartum depression. Due to the characteristics of the data, a computationally complex process of preparing variables has been necessary, as these are data collected by routine clinical practice through the Information System for Research in Primary Care (SIDIAP). Using the data from this work, a complete and well-structured analysis is carried out to explore into different types of analysis in the field of clinical biostatistics. Some of the analyzes used throughout the work are: logistic regression analysis, mixed logistic regression analysis and other techniques to describe the data and the relationship that exists between the different variables. From these analyzes it is concluded that having a history of depression or anxiety is a risk factor for postpartum depression and breastfeeding is a protective factor. In pregnancies with ferritin deficiency the probability of having postpartum depression is higher but not in all the models performed this difference has been significant.
