Title: L'evolució d'Empòrion entre els S. VI-IV a.C i l'impacte de les relacions comercials emporitanes sobre la transformació de les estructures socioeconòmiques del poble indigeta

Abstract: The present work is, first of all, an analysis of the motivations that led to the foundation of the polis of Emporion during the first half of the 6th century BC and its evolution until the end of the 4th century BC. This part of the work is based mainly on the reading and analysis of recent works published by the MAC Ampurias archaeological team. Secondly, it analyses how the commercial activity carried out by the Emporitan traders with the indigenous population living in the area influenced the great cultural and socio-economic transformations that this society underwent between the mid-6th century BC and the end of the 4th century BC. These major changes in Indian society are analysed by applying the endogenist theory of cultural materialism developed by Marvin Harris and the exogenist theories of the prestige lambs and the world-system theory. From the archaeological point of view, the study of the remains that will provide us with data on these important socio-economic changes in the indigenous society is based on the work published by the MAC Ullastret archaeological team and on the publications and reports of the archaeological teams that have worked at the Mas Castellano de Pontós site in recent years.
