Title: Importancia de la intervención indirecta o temprana en los casos de disfemia infantil

Abstract: This scientific article is based on a case study that aims at proving the effectiveness and importance of an early and indirect intervention in childish dysphemia or stuttering cases. After delving into the basic aspects of this fluency disorder (concept, etiology, symptoms) and commentating on the different treatments, a plan for indirect and early intervention is proposed taking into account the 5 years old patient's medical history and diagnosis. Thus, the intervention mainly focuses on family and school fields and tries to stimulate and enrich the child's oral language and communicative processes in a global and playful way, avoiding the child to aware his difficulties (not making him see his disorder). After a few months of implementation of the intervention plan, different child's aspects and disfluencies are evaluated comparing them with those that the child initially had. The results are positive in general levels, so the hypothesis that defends this type of early interventions are beneficial and very important in the early ages, is demonstrated. However, treatment should go ahead and determine, after 18 months if the stuttering has remitted or has become chronic, in which case, a direct intervention focused on child's speech should be initiated.
