Title: Visions de la Judit d'Artemísia Gentileschi a Judit i Holofernes: protofeminisme, catarsi o producte del seu temps?

Abstract: With the intention of capturing which is the "true" Judit that Gentileschi patent, this work explores and analyzes the most common perspectives of the heroine of Judit and Holofernes from some of the most outstanding investigations related to this topic. Likewise, a comparison is proposed with other pieces that show the figure of Judit-Judit beheading Holofernes (1597-98), by Caravaggio, Judit with the head of Holofernes (1616), of Rubens and Judit with the head of Holofernes (?), by Sirani-, to oppose that of Gentileschi and reveal which ones With the intention of capturing which is the "true" Judit that Gentileschi patent, this work explores and analyzes the most common perspectives of Judith and Holofernes heroine from some of the most outstanding research related to this topic. Likewise, a comparison is proposed with other pieces that show the figure of Judit-Judit beheading Holofernes (1597-98), by Caravaggio, Judit with the head of Holofernes (1616), of Rubens and Judit with the head of Holofernes (?), by Sirani-, to contrast with that of Gentileschi and show what are the novelties that the painter presents. In short, it offers a journey that aims to reach a better understanding of both the work and its author.
