Abstract: The racialization of certain groups in Spain according to their origins, ethnicity or culture, entails a serious impediment to accessing the labor market. The existence of prejudices rooted in society, facilitates the proliferation of criteria based on racial discrimination during personnel selection processes. Breaking this injustice would mean the inclusion of new groups in the work environment, and the full social development of these people. The study is initially based on a theoretical framework that sets out and analyzes the current Spanish socio-economic context, and the reasons why the labor market has been particularly affected by the achievement of recent economic crises, and uneven growth and oversizing of some productive sectors. On the other hand, the most common forms of discrimination at work are articulated, with a particular focus on discrimination on racial grounds. The fieldwork focuses on the dissemination of two questionnaires: one of a general nature, able to perceive what is the knowledge and awareness around this issue by society; and a second questionnaire aimed exclusively at professionals in Human Resources consulting and personnel selection, in order to ascertain that there really is a racial bias that prevents and conditions the selection processes and the screening of applications. The research aims to raise awareness and establish a starting framework for future interventions in the field of Human Resources, through the future design and implementation of company policies that allow the designation of equitable selection criteria, and promote equal opportunities and management. of effective diversity in the organizational realm. The study concludes with a widespread finding of a racial bias in personnel selection processes, and a widespread social awareness of the issue, the issues, and the factors that motivate it.
