Abstract: | This thesis consists in the development of a business plan to assess the viability of a diving centre located in Estartit, a village which has the protected natural reserve of the Illes Medes within a kilometre of its coast. This natural reserve is the largest wildlife reserve in the whole Mediterranean Sea. In addition to its extraordinary location, the attraction of the diving centre is to offer to the customers, as well as common diving activities (diving courses, discover scuba diving activities and diving trips), wellness activities directly related to water such as yoga and pilates classes in the sand of the beach or in the water of the sea. During the realization of this business plan, the general and specific environment of the diving centre has been analysed to discover the threats and opportunities of the project, the regulation that the diving centre has to meet has been established, the business model has been defined, a marketing plan has been designed, the mission, vision and goals of the diving centre have been defined, a resources and operations plan has been prepared, the initial necessary investment has been determined; and the economic and financial viability of the business in the short and long term has been assessed. The conclusion of the business plan is that Wellness Diving Center is economically viable. |
