Abstract: This project consists in the design of a prototype device that can read temperature and send it to other devices remotely connected to it. The chosen technology to do it will be Bluetooth, a radio interface designed to work at short distances that does not require line of sight to get a proper communication. The used methodology will be to split the project into basic tasks that can be carried out independently. These tasks will be presented in each of the four planned deliveries, a first delivery for the planning and justification of the project, two intermediate ones with the different parts of the design already finished and a last one with the final report of the project. The outcome of the project is the design of the prototype and a complete budget. This result allows us to say that the general and specific goals set at the beginning of this project have been achieved, which, in brief, are to use the knowledge acquired during the degree to make a complete design of a remote temperature monitor via Bluetooth. In addition, a set of ideas is presented to expand the uses and functionalities of the designed prototype, either by creating mobile applications to handle received data or by developing the possibility of using the prototype as a temperature controller, which means to provide it with the ability to perform corrective actions that modify the temperature.
