|Caracterización de las vías moleculares asociadas al COVID-19 y los productos génicos para la intervención terapéutica

|The 2019 novel coronavirus disease (2019) is an infectious respiratory syndrome caused by a novel virus coronavirus strain, SARS-CoV-2. In March 2020, COVID-19 became pandemic due to the quick spread and high mortality worldwide and it is a serious problem to global public health and economy. Vaccines have been developed to prevent infection but there is not a specific treatment against COVID-19 beyond therapies to symptom alleviation. Therefore, the molecular mechanism underlaying COVID-19 are largely unknown. Here, we developed a bioinformatic study to get a better understanding of the SARS-CoV-2 infection. The first block was a recompilation and processing of human interactome, SARS-CoV-2-human interactome, SARS-CoV-2 interactome and human molecular pathways. The second block was a statistical data analysis to identify the human molecular pathways associated with COVID19 and the candidate gene products to drug discovery. Statistical data analysis discovered 358 human molecular pathways and 5 genes (MAVS, DDX58, IFIH1, TBK1 y RAB14) that can be considered as potential candidates for drug targets in future studies. Some molecular pathways related with centrosome organization and protein localization in Cajal bodies have not been reported in previous studies and they could be the beginning of new research projects.
