Abstract: You make a search in an internet search engine and your information is automatically processed, analyzed, and stored on their servers, information that allows them to create a fairly accurate profile of you. The lack of transparency about what happens with these data limits the perception of privacy that users have. What if there was some way to prevent search engines from creating a profile of us based on our searches? The objective of this work is to create an extension for the Google Chrome browser with the main mission of hindering the work of search engines by avoiding creating an accurate profile of their users. The extension uses word generalization method using the WordNet lexical database. After a researching a proposed activity, the effectiveness of the word generalization tool is revealed, concluding with an alternative verdict, thanks to new regulations in favor of privacy, where you can take control of your data, making use of the tools that own data takers make available to the user, thus promoting digital education.
