Abstract: | With the project I carry out the design and implementation of an RFID reader able to geoposition, connect to the Internet and manage an external database through a web application that allows to carry out a tree management. The procedure of tree management, or cataloging, will be done by placing RFID tags on the trees to be cataloged, so that they will be exclusively identified and also positioned with their coordinates. Tree's information will be saved and also the interventions that a technician performs for that tree. I used a NodeMCU board, which provides an Internet connection to the reader via WiFi network and a 3G/4G node, a GPS module that provides the coordinates of a given tree, an LCD screen to output results and some information, and a web application made with HTML, CSS, PHP, and JavaScript, which queries a database hosted on an external server. Therefore, SynapTree is a very useful tool that allows a very effective and intuitive tree management at low cost. It can become the main tool of a company or public administration dedicated to this. |
