Abstract: Menopausal transition in women is associated with a high risk of developing a cardiovascular disease. The digital health intervention has been designed to offer an educational program that promotes and integrates eating, exercise and mental habits to prevent cardiovascular risk factors in women with menopausal transition, in the Sagrada Família hospital from Barcelona. The program includes the use of a digital learning platform and a hospital social networking site. The participants have presential and flexible online sessions and activities, available progressively for 3 months, with content in knowledge, skills and attitudes. To increase the program adherence, it is offered personalized attention via phone calls, emailing and a participants support network. The intervention method and evaluation have been designed based on rigorous and recognized guides as well as successful and functional digital interventions. The main strengths of the intervention are the economical maintenance and the capacity of automating content and evaluation. On the other hand, it requires a higher initial outlay and the participants need to be users of the new technologies.
