Abstract: | The introduction of quality management in the health and social care sector has aided to professionalize the management of residential centers. The aim is to ensure that residences can become healthy organizations, where customer satisfaction and occupational well-being are intended. The main aim of the study is to explain the relationship between work environment and the well-being of employees and users in nursing homes. This selection is because of the change in the ageing paradigm, nowadays based on the individual person, with a proactive vision of the stage and that seeks the excellence in care fostered by healthy work environments. All this will be explained from the scientific methodology of an empirical article, which begins with a theoretical explanation and corroborated by the analysis of a sample. In this case, 4 residential centers: two of public management and two of private management will be analyzed. Results obtained will show the relationship between the work environment and the well-being of employees and users, as well as the importance of intrinsic motivation of employees for the improvement of the quality of care. Finally, practical implications for managers of residential care centers for the elderly are displayed. |
