Abstract: In recent years, the presence in children's educational and domestic context of tactile graphic interfaces has increased. However, some evidence show that their use can have impact on learning and manipulation of the physical environment. Based on this premise and with a skeptical approach, the aim of the project is to design a critical speculative proposal that questions and generates debate on this issue. Therefore, a literature review on the design and use of tangible interfaces in childhood is conducted. Concluding that tactile graphic interfaces offer a standardized interaction, do not promote fine motor skills or exploratory learning. This study is complemented by interviews with children's experts, whose testimonies are synthesized in the form of insights. The speculative proposal targets one of the insights and consists of a tangible interface that improves adults' motor skills. This object is placed within a future scenario where the use of tactile devices in childhood is so widespread that it is not possible to develop these manual skills. To communicate the proposal, was made a video showing the scenario and interaction. Finally, it is evaluated using a questionnaire to analyze its narrative comprehension, verisimilitude, critical dimension, and ability to generate debate.
