Title: Diseño de una aplicación móvil de orientación para padres y madres ante procesos agudos leves en la infancia

Abstract: Introduction: the workload on Paediatric Accident and Emergency Services have experienced an overwhelming increase over the last decades. Considering up to fifty percent of Accident and Emergency Services' attendances seem to be motivated by minor acute pathologies, a digital solution that could give information and guide on home treatment for these pathologies could potentially decrease these visits. Objective: to design a digital Intervention, specifically a mobile application, able to guide on home care for minor acute pathologies during childhood. Method: the main digital health solutions already available have been described and evaluated. Afterwards, a mobile application has been designed, including a prototype wireframe. Evaluation: an evaluation plan consisting in two phases has been detailed: one, approaching the dimensions technique, clinical, usability and cost; the other, using the MARS scale and the iSYScore index. Discussion: this tool has potential to reduce Accident and Emergencies' workload, directing patients to the appropriate health service or department. Conclusion: since the project is focused on the design of a digital intervention, there is no results available. The main contributions are: the design of a digital solution, involving the analysis and summary of guidelines and signs of serious illness related with the main conditions addressed in Accident and Emergencies Services; the results of the search, compilation, and specification of the already available digital tools.
