Title: Àrtemis Efèsia a les colònies. El temple empordanès d'Estrabó
Author: Ors Puig, Carme
Tutor: Garcia i Rubert, David
Abstract: The subject of this work falls within the field of mythology. It deals specifically with the goddess Artemis and in particular with her ephesian invocation. The interest of the project is focused, within this particular area, on the possibility of the existence of a cult headquarters in the Iberian Indian area and, restricting the question even further, on the possible existence of the temple proposed by Estrabó on the Empordà coast. In this sense, the work is articulated around the elements that may characterise this cult: on the one hand, the specifically Iberian beliefs and, on the other, those that the colonising peoples (Phoenicians and Greeks) may have brought with them. The myth is therefore dealt with through the religion and cult related to colonisation.
