Abstract: The interaction between technology and work brought positive effects to the productive environment, among them, systematisation and digitalisation of processes, opening up to new markets, development of digital skills in workers, cognitive demands, autonomy, development of information and communication technologies, among other aspects. As negative effects it brought the closure of some jobs, reduction of positions such as cashier service in the financial sector also called "tellers", a manual labour activity performed by the bank employee who performs basic operations, processes different types of payments, drafts, deposit services, money withdrawals, bank transfers, validation of customer identity, among other processes (Tarazi, M., and Breloff, P. (2011). This occupation for decades has been one of the main positions in the banking sector; however, today it is being replaced by digital or automatic teller machines and mobile applications or programmes known as APPs; an achievement achieved by the addition of new information and communication technologies. This result or technological advance is one of the main changes brought about by digital evolution and therefore new ways of working; paradoxically, it is reflected in the financial sector, where it used to be common to find between three to five tellers (occupational positions) or bank employees in the teller service attending long lines of users, but today, they have been significantly reduced, as this occupation has been replaced by the advance of technology, automation, internet and the use of ICTs, that is, by employing the use of new technologies that manage to reduce operating costs.
