Title: Vivienda y violencia de género: Análisis de las trayectorias habitacionales de mujeres supervivientes de violencia de género
Author: Canto Alvarez, Alexia
Tutor: Muxí Martínez, Zaida
Abstract: The recognition of housing as a right and a primary human and social need is included in different declarations of international organisations such as the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights and the Revised European Social Charter, and in the national legislation of most countries, as in Spain through Article 47 of the Spanish Constitution. However, reality shows us that certain factors such as gender violence can generate situations of housing exclusion. For this reason, this research has addressed the reality of access to housing for women victims of gender-based violence in Navarre: the different regulations, plans and assistance and housing resources that have been promoted by Navarrese institutions in recent years and their application to reality have been analysed through the analysis of the housing trajectories of two women victims of gender-based violence. All this with the aim of answering the question: are these resources effective in preventing situations of residential exclusion of women victims of gender violence?
