Title: El impacto de la transformación digital del mercado laboral y la brecha digital en el empleo

Abstract: Over the past few decades, the evolution of Digital Technological Disruption has shaped the "information society", an economic and social strata structure, in which excluded people are at a disadvantage in achieving specific goals. This paper aims to expound upon the impact of digital transformation factors on the economy. With the use of effective analysis of various economic indicators illustrating the degree to which technological development impacts a society, we are able to determine the decisive role fulfilled by STEM professionals throughout different economic sectors. Additionally, this paper explores the concept of the "digital divide" is defined and the degree of digital skills of the current Spanish workforce is analysed, paying special attention to the causes and effects of the gender digital divide that stands for half of the workforce.
