Abstract: | The videogame pretends to recreate a classic board game called Simon. This time the game will be oriented to a target: musicians and guitarists. In this game, the player tries to replicate different randomized sound patterns. The device will continue to play increasingly complicated sound patterns while the player replays them right. Guitar Duel will try to recreate something similar although using a real guitar as the user interface. The game will play the sound patterns, based on musical scales, and the gamer will try to replay them instantaneously with his guitar. In addition to this, unlike other similar games like Guitar Hero or Rocksmith, also has a storyline that will make the player been stuck to the game to complete it. It’s necessary to investigate the fields of videogames production with Unity as well as audio and digital audio processing, DSP, in real-time. This requires a lot of time dedicated to research. |
