Abstract: | This Final Project is focused on the widespread rising in popularity of social media nowadays, as well as the importance of a responsible use of them. This paper also deals with the relevance of the new professional figure 'influencer', who thanks to social media and the visibility they provide, have become close and trusted references for many people, something that has not gone unnoticed by brands. In order to show the reality of social media, research has been carried out by means of a questionnaire, as well as interviewing three influencers, who have provided their expert vision of the world of digital communication. They point out the need to educate and raise awareness in this area because social media are nothing more than a showcase where the best version of their lives is shown, something that is not real. Over all, the results obtained highlight the importance of taking care of the mental health, not only of users, but also of the influencers themselves, who are daily exposed to cyberbullying through social media. |
