Anoxic encephalopathy occurs when there is complete or partial oxygen deprivation in the brain, and may be due to different causes. Thus, our case presents an evolution of the damage of 3 years, that after change of unit due to the limitations that appear, neuropsychological assessment is requested. In spite of both motor and communication difficulties, which make the evaluation difficult, alterations in the attentional, memory function and executive processes are mainly observed; in addition to slight neuropsychiatric conditions such as irritability or euphoria. On the other hand, there are serious difficulties in basic and instrumental activities of daily life and quality of life. The proposed intervention consists of two weekly sessions, one individual and one group of cognitive stimulation; and a two week-long virtual reality session. The intervention will last for 7 months and will include psychoeducation, emotional accompaniment and psychotherapy, deficit compensatory strategies, family intervention, etc. With all this, it is hoped to increase R.C.'s quality of life and promote its autonomy.
