Abstract: The case of a 63-year-old man with a diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease of approximately 5 years of evolution is addressed. The main cognitive complaints are related to visuospatial and visuoperceptive abilities. A complete neuropsychological evaluation is carried out from which it is concluded that, indeed, the main cognitive impairments occur in visuospatial and visuoperceptive areas and in those areas that involve the use of the former for their correct functioning, being consistent with the diagnosis of posterior cortical atrophy. (ACP). The existing literature shows that this, PCA, is an atypical clinical-radiological syndrome that presents with occipito-parietal atrophy in neuroimaging and cognitive failures related to visuospatiality. It may be the prelude to Alzheimer's disease, but additional tests must be done to determine it. A cognitive stimulation treatment is scheduled initially for six months with two weekly sessions in which therapies are carried out aimed at maintaining functions that are still preserved and compensating for those that have deteriorated, as well as slowing down the progression of the pathology. Three complete sessions are presented as an example of the treatment. It is hoped to slow down the speed with which the pathology progresses and improve patient autonomy through the development and use of compensatory strategies.
