Abstract: A case study of two 11-year-old racialized children is presented. The children live in Tortosa where they and their families have suffered racial discrimination due to their origin, religion and culture. Several studies have shown that there are prejudices against this group and that there is an emotional affectation in people who suffer racism. This work aims to check what strategies the participants use to cope with the negative emotions derived from the racial discrimination experienced and if these strategies can be improved with Emotional Education. Through activities on emotional awareness, emotional regulation and emotional autonomy, the aim is to provide children with resources and tools to improve their emotional competences and avoid the prolongation of negative emotions and feelings. An interview was conducted with both participants; three sessions of Emotional Education, one activity for each emotional competence; and they answered a questionnaire prepared for the study where they evaluated the usefulness of the resources learned to achieve greater emotional well-being. Based on the exercises and the participants' responses, the results of each activity and the study procedure were satisfactory. The participants have become aware of the emotions they experience in various situations, have learned to regulate them appropriately, have noticed new aspects of their self-concept and have improved their self-esteem. With all this, it has been demonstrated that it is necessary to respond to the need of all children to receive emotional education, taking into account the diversity that defines them.
