Title: Evaluación de la perspectiva de género en los instrumentos de ordenación de Canarias
Author: Sánchez Moreno, María del Pino
Tutor: Valdivia, Blanca
Abstract: The approval of Organic Law 3/2007, of March 22, 2007, for the effective equality of women and men has been one of the milestones of Spanish legislation in the 21st century. With its approval, a change in the conceptions of gender in Spain is being sought, no longer making women invisible and seeking real social equality. This document shows the state of urban planning with a gender perspective in Spain after the approval of Law 3/2007. It is a sort of time capsule that gathers at the time of its drafting: the conception and determinations that characterize this type of urban planning, the regulations and documents that have been developed in all public administrations of the national territory to support and achieve its attainment and the tools used in its design. Based on these documents, an analysis has been carried out to extract what types of contributions and innovations each one of them provides. In addition to this, given the context of the author's work, a detailed analysis of urban planning with a gender perspective in the Canary Islands is established. It also includes interviews with professionals related to the subject.
