Abstract: Medical care must be provided 24 hours a day. a day, for this reason the vast majority of health personnel must work at times that include the night shift. This situation requires that this type of professionals be awake during the hours in which the body needs the body to be in a state of deep sleep, therefore, it can cause alterations in the circadian rhythm. Another risk that can occur is about psychosocial factors. With this approach, our hypothesis is to demonstrate the negative influence it has on the quality of sleep and reconciliation with family/social life, affecting psychosocially. In order to evaluate it, a sample of 31 people (24 women and 7 men) who work in the field of health in Catalonia is studied. The study method that has been used is the Pittsburg Sleep Quality Index” (PSQI) (Buysse et al, 1989), and to assess the perception of psychosocial risks, a 10-question questionnaire was developed. No significant results were found between the variables.
