Abstract: At the end of June 2006, more than 650,000 user logs3XL.NET, an average of 8 million page views per month and messages from users sent to forums accumulated over the last two years (until May 2006) were more than 630,000, with an average of almost 900 messages/day. Around this authentic media phenomenon at the local level, the present doctoral thesis is developed, the result of more than 5 years researching the interrelationships between Television and Internet, having as a reference mainly the practices of the users of 3XL.NET. These investigations began in 2001, within the framework of the UOC PhD research seminar and in January 2007 they concluded with it, although the communicative product of 3XL.NET is still fully active evolving and facing new short-term challenges.
