Abstract: This project is about the development of a mobile application aimed to image editing, named Emage. The main features pursued are usability, simplicity and reliability. In short, that it is easy to understand and use. After analysing and observing the users and understanding their needs and concerns, I’ve decided to begin with a new development. Following the UCD (user centered design) process with the following stages: Analysis and Design, Prototyping, Evaluation and then the following use cases and technical design. From that process, the implementation has been done with more or less issues, of an application that is capable to apply filters, save custom filters and save the edited image. What is more, it has the feature of moving and zooming the current editing image to see more details. Moreover, it can also show the progress made by holding a finger on the image a few instants. Finally, it has a user manual accessible from the application itself. In conclusion, it has been very enhancing challenge that has make me through a mountain of emotions. I can say that I have learned so much about mobile development, but especially I have experienced for myself how to handle a big problem that could, potentially, broken down the whole project.
