Title: Diseño y simulación de una red 4G en pedanías altas del noroeste de la Región de Murcia
Author: Garcerán Almagro, Marcos
Tutor: Adelantado, Ferran
Abstract: Nowadays, there are millions of users with access to high speed internet using ADSL or fiber optic from almost everywhere in Spain. However, in those areas where is difficult to install a wired network, other technologies are used, such as 4G. 4G is the fourth generation of broadband cellular network technology. Its most relevant objectives are to provide a safer mobile communication as well as a transferring speed that theoretically can reach up to 1 Gbit/s. 4G networks are based on the IP (Internet Protocol) communication protocol. The objective of this project is, on the one hand, to explain the most important aspects of 4G as an introduction to this technology and, on the other hand, to put it in a real scenario: designing a network and simulating its coverage in a specific location. Ultimately, at the end of the project we will see an economic analysis that, together with the obtained results, will help us to decide the viability of the mentioned network.
