Abstract: The Community of Madrid has several health applications that are widely used by patients who go to social security, but which are not well valued by them due to operating problems. These applications offer a great opportunity for improvement, so this work aims to redesign and unify the virtual health card and health appointment applications, to improve their usability and user experience. The chosen model has been user-centered design (UCD), since this approach takes into account the user throughout the design process, as well as their needs and objectives. This model has 4 phases: research, definition and ideation, prototyping and evaluation. Through DCU techniques, improvements have been incorporated in the registration and login processes, in the process for making an appointment and consulting medication and medical reports. In addition, a cleaner and more intuitive graphical interface has been created by applying Google's open Material Design system.
