Abstract: This final degree project aims to carry out a study of the 3D printing market today, with the aim of detecting which of the sectors within this field of 3D printing may be more fruitful in the future. The empirical study and the theoretical framework have been based specifically on the analysis of the market and the advances made in the construction sector with additive manufacturing or manufacturing performed with 3D printing machines. The main purpose that has been pursued is to analyze how the market for the construction of homes and buildings in Spanish territory will improve thanks to this type of construction that is more sustainable and much faster and in some cases even more efficient. Therefore, attention has been focused on the field of housing / building construction using the method of 3D printing, in any of its aspects. The methodology used to carry out the study has been based on the observation, transformation of data and the reading and comparison of many scientific-technical texts that have been used to better understand the materials, construction methods and even the possible economic effects that would entail implanting a type of system of construction like this in Spanish territory. Different examples of constructions that have been pioneers for different reasons and that are worthy of imitation in many ways have been exposed throughout the work; they have been used as references and to create a background in the principle of additive construction as standard housing and not as a science fiction tale. Finally, we find the conclusions drawn from this study that indicate that changes like this need to be introduced paused especially in cultures poorly adapted to change or reluctant to change certain traditional aspects or very marked by society and culture. . One of the objectives of this work has been above all to raise awareness and show the great benefits of this sector that is constantly improving and advancing and that with the current situation (COVID-19) has shown us more than ever that it is necessary to adaptation and change in times of urgent need.
