Abstract: The issue of gender inequality is still relevant for our society, and its manifestation in the field of work is one of the most analysed in scientific researches. However, there is still not much data on the psychological factors related to discriminatory attitudes and perceptions, which favour gender inequality in the workplace and can provide indications for the improvement of social policies in this field. The present project proposes an observational study of attitudinal differences towards women and men in the labour field. For this purpose, we propose to use the viewing of videos on stressful situations in two work contexts: large company and elderly people's home. For each work context there will be 2 identical videos except for the gender of the main character. The videos will be evaluated by 4 groups of participants (ntotal = 160), matched by gender and age group, through the designed questionnaires, which include target and distraction questions. We will assess whether there is a difference in perceptions of agreeableness and professional competence, depending on the gender of the person in the video; and whether this difference (if any) varies according to the age of the participants.
