Title: Del expolio a la Guerra Civil Española. Las pinturas murales románicas andorranas en riesgo
Author: Vela Los Arcos, Max
Tutor: Monfort i Coll, Aram
Abstract: The Andorran Romanesque Wall paintings preserved in the MNAC have witnessed the most transcendental episodes of the safeguarding of art during the 1920s and 1930s. The people and institutions related to these works, such as the Junta de Museus de Barcelona, Italian technicians those in charge of removing and conserving the paintings, the Bisbat d’Urgell and the collectors and antique dealers who intervened in the processes of buying and selling the artistic works of the Pyrenees, are part of history and knowing their details we will analyze all the risk situations that were generated in their environment and that compromised their integrity and security.
