Abstract: FC Barcelona, one of the most reputable football clubs in the world, has experienced significant financial challenges in recent years. Although the club has enjoyed sporting success on the field, with multiple national and international titles, it has faced difficulties in managing its finances. One of FC Barcelona's main financial problems has been the excessive growth of debt. The club has had to take on a considerable debt burden due to investment in player signings, contract renewals and stadium improvements, among other expenses. These debts have created significant financial pressure and have limited the club's ability to make new investments and maintain a stable financial situation. In addition, the Club has experienced a decline in revenues over the last few years due, in part, to a lack of success in the UEFA Champions League, which has negatively affected television rights and sponsorship income. In addition, the COVID-19 pandemic had a significant impact on the Club's finances, as it was forced to play matches behind closed doors and face a reduction in box office and merchandising revenues. These financial problems led FC Barcelona to take measures to mitigate the crisis. The Club has implemented cost-cutting programmes, including salary cuts and the sale of key players to alleviate financial pressure. Changes have also been made to the management structure and agreements have been sought with creditors to restructure debt. In short, FC Barcelona's financial situation is delicate because of its growing debt and declining revenues. The club has taken steps to address these challenges, but still faces difficulties on the road to a sound financial recovery. Efficient management of resources, generation of new sources of revenue and improved expenditure control will be key to ensuring a more stable financial situation in the future.
