Abstract: This final degree project of computer engineering aims to analyze the possibility of moving an on premise DataCenter to a public cloud. For this, different tools will be used to facilitate the knowledge of the structure and connections of the DataCenter. It should be taken into account that, in many cases, companies do not have full control over the dependencies of their applications. Once the appropriate tool is chosen, a fictitious scenario will be proposed to obtain data on the resources and relationships of the DataCenter. With this information, the main public cloud providers will be compared, evaluating their advantages and disadvantages for carrying out the migration in the context of the use case. After selecting the most convenient public cloud provider, the business case of the migration will be developed, where the benefits and challenges of this process will be exposed. Different migration strategies will be considered, such as lift & shift, refactoring, etc. Finally, it is expected to obtain a proposal to verify the technical and economic feasibility of migrating the DataCenter.
