Compliment normatiu de l'ús de galetes als llocs web

Abstract

Les galetes faciliten i milloren l’experiència de navegació dels usuaris, però també són una de les formes més efectives de recollir informació d’ells. Amb la finalitat d’avaluar el grau de protecció en què els usuaris es troben en navegar per internet, s’ha analitzat el grau de compliment legal de les pàgines web respecte a l’ús de les galetes. Per a avaluar el nivell de compliment normatiu s’ha seleccionat una mostra de 546 pàgines web agrupades en 23 categories i s’ha fet una anàlisi a partir del resultat d’una eina de recollida d’evidències. A 300 d’elles, s’ha fet una anàlisi visual que ha avaluat, mitjançant l’aplicació de 12 controls, la gestió del consentiment i la provisió d’informació. Segons els resultats de l’anàlisi visual, prop del 38% de les pàgines tenen un nivell d’adaptació per sota de 5 (sobre una escala de 10), on la categoria “Sports” ha tret la puntuació més baixa. A la part alta, les categories “Finances” i “Arts and Entertainment” són les més valorades. La provisió d’informació assoleix el nivell més alt (prop del 90%) i l’accessibilitat de re-configuració del consentiment el nivell és més baix. L’anàlisi de les dades recollides per l’eina d’evidències ha mostrat que tot i que no hi ha hagut consentiment s’han detectat prop de 6000 galetes amb durada definida. La seva classificació ha permès complementar els resultats obtinguts a l’anàlisi visual i identificar les pàgines amb més i menys compliment normatiu.

Cookies facilitate and improve the browsing experience of users, but they are also one of the most effective ways to collect information from them. To evaluate the degree of protection of the users when they are browsing the Internet, the degree of legal compliance of the web pages with respect to the use of cookies has been analyzed. To assess the level of regulatory compliance, a sample of 546 web pages grouped into 23 categories has been selected and an analysis has been made based on the result of an evidence collection tool. In 300 of them, a visual analysis has been carried out that has evaluated, through the application of 12 controls, the management of consent and the provision of information. According to the results of the visual analysis, about 38% of the pages have an adaptation level below 5 (on a scale of 10), where the "Sports" category has obtained the lowest score. At the top, the categories "Finance" and "Arts and Entertainment" are the most valued. Information provision reaches the highest level (about 90%) and consent reconfiguration accessibility reaches the lowest level. The analysis of the data collected by the evidence tool has shown that although there has been no consent, about 6000 cookies with a defined duration have been detected. Its classification has made it possible to complement the results obtained in the visual analysis and identify the pages with more and less regulatory compliance.
