This time the inaugural lecture was given by Sanjay Sarma, Professor of Mechanical Engineering and Vice President for Open Learning at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), who spoke about the future of education. Sanjay Sarma is a leading authority worldwide both on research into the science of learning and on mechanical engineering, and is credited with developing technology used in RFID.

En aquesta ocasió, ens ha ofert una ponència Sanjay Sarma, professor d’Enginyeria Mecànica i vicepresident d’Aprenentatge Obert de l’Institut Tecnològic de Massachusetts (MIT), per parlar del futur de l’educació. Sarma és un referent mundial en la recerca sobre ciència de l’aprenentatge i enginyeria mecànica, i se li atribueix el desenvolupament de les tecnologies d’identificació per radiofreqüència (RFID per la sigla en anglès).
