Análisis de datos en Twitter. Día Internacional de la Eliminación de la Violencia contra la Mujer (25 de noviembre)

Abstract

En el año 2022 (hasta el 3 de septiembre) en el Ecuador han sido asesinadas 206 mujeres por razones de género, es decir una vida perdida cada 28 horas. Esta cifra ya ha superado el valor total de feminicidios reportados en el año 2021 y la relevancia mediática del asesinato, en la Escuela Superior de Policía, de María Belén Bernal, presuntamente a manos de su marido, un teniente de policía, ha reactivado el debate y la exigencia de justicia a través de las redes sociales y ha logrado convocar marchas en la calle por parte de las organizaciones sociales y feministas. En este trabajo se pretende recopilar tuits obtenidos a través de las etiquetas que se activen en torno al 25 de noviembre, Día Internacional de la Eliminación de la Violencia contra la mujer para determinar las organizaciones más relevantes y las comunidades de usuarios que se establecen y como ciertos casos mediáticos pueden afectar la capacidad para convocar gente a las calles. Con esto se logrará determinar las organizaciones o perfiles más influyentes en cada comunidad que se forme utilizando métricas adecuadas para el efecto y representar los resultados obtenidos de una manera entendible.

In the year 2022 (until September 3) in Ecuador, 206 women have been murdered for reasons of gender, which represents, one life lost every 28 hours. This figure has already exceeded the total value of femicides reported in 2021 and the media relevance of the murder, at “Escuela Superior de Policía” a police training school, of María Belén Bernal, allegedly at the hands of her husband, a police lieutenant, has reactivated the debate and the demands for justice through social networks and has managed to call marches in the street by social and feminist organizations. In this work, we intend to collect tweets obtained through the hashtags that are activated around November 25, International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women to determine the most relevant organizations and user communities that are established and analyze the way certain cases can affect the ability to summon people to the streets. With this, it will be possible to determine the most influential organizations or profiles in each community that´s been formed, using adequate metrics for the purpose and understandably representing the results.
