La narrativa femenina en el audio digital. Estudio de caso del Pódcast "Estirando el chicle" versus "El podcast de Cristina Mitre"

Abstract

Las mujeres representan la mitad de la población. Pese a ello, aún existen estructuras y dinámicas que tratan de robarles su espacio. Una de las armas de invisibilización femenina es el lenguaje. De lo que no se habla, no existe. En 2017, el movimiento “Me too” supuso un punto de inflexión en un feminismo que, ahora sí, contaba con múltiples, diversos y accesibles altavoces. Uno de ellos, el audio digital. El auge del podcasting ha llenado las plataformas de programas creados por y para mujeres, pero todavía existen pocos estudios respecto a la producción femenina en este medio de comunicación. Este Trabajo de Fin de Grado pretende despejar algunas incógnitas surgidas a raíz de este "boom" y descubrir la narrativa femenina en el mundo del audio digital. Se trata de una investigación llevada a cabo a través del estudio de dos de los pódcast más populares seguidos por mujeres que existen en la actualidad, “Estirando el chicle” y “El podcast de Cristina Mitre”; también a través de la lectura de bibliografía relacionada con el mundo de la comunicación y el nuevo lenguaje radiofónico y del lenguaje inclusivo; así como mediante entrevistas a expertas y protagonistas. La intención de este trabajo es llenar un vacío informativo respecto al lenguaje inclusivo en audio digital, pero también servir de guía a las nuevas generaciones de creadoras de pódcast, porque muchas veces el uso incorrecto del lenguaje es fruto de la ignorancia y no de la malicia. Porque sí existe una narrativa femenina en el audio digital, y sí, en los pódcast creados por mujeres se usa (con mayor o menor acierto) un lenguaje inclusivo, tal y como se desprende de esta investigación. Se confirma que han surgido nuevas voces femeninas y feministas que contribuyen a que la mujer sea escuchada y, por lo tanto, ocupe el lugar que le corresponde. Este trabajo es una muestra de cómo el cuidado en el lenguaje; de cómo la manera de dirigirse a los otros y otras y de comunicar puede ayudar a construir una sociedad más inclusiva y más justa.

Women represent half of the population. Despite this, there are still structures and dynamics that try to steal their space. One of the weapons of feminine invisibility is language. What is not spoken of, does not exist. In 2017, the “Me too” movement marked a turning point in a feminism that, now, had multiple, diverse and accessible speakers. One of them, digital audio. The rise of podcasting has filled the platforms with programs created by and for women, but there are still few studies regarding female production in this media. This Final Degree Project aims to clear up some unknowns that have arisen as a result of this "boom" and to discover the female narrative in the world of digital audio. This is an investigation carried out through the study of two of the most popular podcasts followed by women that exist today, "Estirando el chicle" and "El podcast de Cristina Mitre"; also through reading bibliography related to the world of communication and the new radio language and inclusive language; as well as through interviews with experts and protagonists. The intention of this work is to fill an information gap regarding inclusive language in digital audio, but also to serve as a guide for the new generations of female podcast creators, because many times the incorrect use of language is the result of ignorance and not malice. Because there is a female narrative in digital audio, and yes, in podcasts created by women an inclusive language is used (with more or less success), as is clear from this research. It is confirmed that new feminine and feminist voices have emerged and that contribute to women being heard and, therefore, occupying their rightful place. This work is an example of how the care in the language; of how the way of addressing others and of communicating can help to build a more inclusive and fairer society.
