Title: Mucamas: mujeres invisibles. Proyecto transmedia y podcast
Author: Florenciano Montesinos, Antonio
Tutor: Casanovas Zurano, Xavier
Abstract: This final degree project focuses on a topic of special social relevance, the labor exploitation of "mucama" (maids), kellys and house cleaners. The term "mucama", which can be interpreted as derogatory, is used to define the domestic worker who performs cleaning and maintenance tasks in a home, although it is also used for hotel cleaners. We are talking about female workers and not male workers, since domestic and care work is a feminized and migrant sector, mainly. Throughout the study, an exhaustive investigation has been carried out on the working conditions of these workers, trying to identify the most serious problems faced by the "mucama".
