Revisió literària del concepte d’antropocè: una perspectiva posthumanista

Abstract

Aquest treball explora el desplegament del concepte d’antropocè per una part de la narrativa literària de la deshumanització i de la destrucció, una literatura que ens aprovisiona de diferents perspectives sobre el canvi climàtic, o altres impactes de l’acció humana, i les seves implicacions per a la humanitat i el planeta. Aquestes literatures aporten consciència sobre les dimensions ecològiques, socials i culturals dels reptes als quals ens enfrontem, el que conflueix amb el pensament de Sloterdijk quan postula la necessitat d’abandonar el mot humanisme des d’una perspectiva que tracta l’ésser humà com a problema. La narrativa literària analitzada relata l’edat de les grans transformacions amb forts repercussions ambientals i amb un rastre de destrucció superior al d’altres èpoques precedents, però, com veurem, també s’aproxima a la deshumanització i a la difícil relació amb el medi des de diferents perspectives. Per a desplegar l’anàlisi literària de l’antropocè, partim d’un enfocament posthumanista i postantropocentrista, segons el qual és necessari superar la confrontació dual de l’ésser humà amb la natura que l’envolta en tant que forces oposades (natura/cultura – humà/no humà). Aquesta investigació busca constatar com es representa la narrativa de l’antropocè en els textos literaris escollits i quines conclusions es poden extreure per avançar en una nova visió del món que abandoni l’antropocentrisme i que creï un escenari de superació davant les conseqüències de l’edat de la destrucció així com la defineix González-Ruibal.

This work explores the deployment of the concept of Anthropocene by part of the literary narrative of dehumanization and destruction, a literature that provides us with different perspectives on climate change, or other impacts of human action, and its implications for humanity and the planet. These literatures raise awareness of the ecological, social and cultural dimensions of the challenges we face, which is confluent with Sloterdijk's thinking when he posits the need to abandon the word humanism from a perspective that treats man as a problem. The literary narrative analysed relates the age of great transformations with strong environmental repercussions and a trail of destruction greater than that of previous times, but, as we will see, it also approaches dehumanisation and the difficult relationship with the environment from different perspectives. In order to deploy the literary analysis of the Anthropocene, we start from a post-humanist and post-anthropocentric approach, according to which it is necessary to overcome the dual confrontation of the human being with the nature surrounding it as opposing forces (nature/culture – human/non-human). This research seeks to establish how the narrative of the Anthropocene is represented in the chosen literary texts and what conclusions can be drawn to advance a new worldview that abandons anthropocentrism and creates a scenario of overcoming the consequences of the age of destruction as well as González-Ruibal has defined it.
