Abstract: This case study explores the relationship between the profile of the UOC communication student and the concept of intellectual capital, highlighting practical, theoretical skills and experience acquired, which in this area contribute to the construction of a competitive professional profile and the development of a network of relevant relationships in the field of audiovisual communication. A methodological tool is proposed and the possible adequacy or conceptualization of communication studies and the profile of communication students, expressed in their final degree project, of generating audiovisual content in an applied form of the concept of intellectual capital is analysed.
