Abstract: This study examines gender parity in Mallorca’s local digital press, focusing on and Using advanced programming and artificial intelligence tools, the research automates the analysis of digital press content, scrutinizing the representation of women in these media outlets. The study’s methodology innovatively integrates AI for textual analysis, contributing in time and resources efficiency to obtain valuable insights into gender representation in journalism. The findings highlight the current state of gender parity in the main Mallorca’s digital press outlets and offer a novel approach to media analysis, blending academic research and practical journalism applications. The results of the study are published on a journalistic-style website where, through nine news stories and sixteen interactive infographics, the most relevant data is disseminated. The website is complemented by an open data section to make the microdata, statistics and source code created for the project available to everyone.
