Title: Creación de la interfaz de una aplicación para el alumnado con necesidades educativas especiales en centros educativos

Abstract: In the dynamic landscape of education, ensuring the autonomy of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) is paramount alongside their academic journey. However, this autonomy often hinges on the support provided by dedicated school professionals. Recognizing this, an innovative solution emerges – the creation of an interface designed to nurture independence with reduced reliance on human assistance. While educational applications abound, they typically focus solely on academic aspects, leaving a gap in supporting SEN students comprehensively. Crafting such an interface presents a formidable challenge, requiring extensive customization to cater to diverse user profiles. To surmount this hurdle, we leverage the tools offered by Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) and diligently adhere to the UserCentered Design (UCD) methodology. This methodical approach, comprising interconnected stages, ensures a nuanced understanding of user needs and preferences, culminating in a solution tailored to perfection. The culmination of this endeavor yields an user-friendly, intuitive, and highly adaptable interface. Its functionality revolves around simplifying access to schedules, notes, facilitating daily activities, and navigating school regulations with ease. The insights gleaned from this undertaking underscore the indispensable role of HCI and UCD in crafting an inclusive interface that caters to the unique requirements of SEN students. Moreover, it underscores the pivotal role of educators in championing the effective implementation and management of such applications. Yet, it also brings to light the dearth of support from development entities in catering to this underserved segment, highlighting the pressing need for greater industry engagement in this sphere.
