Abstract: Speculative design seeks to raise questions rather than find solutions by breaking with the traditional objectives of design, which seeks solutions to problems. This work presents scenarios futures that provoke reflection and critical thinking, and can be applied in any field that is can link with art or design. The critical analysis of a concept or situation can be linked to any type of manifestation artistic and creative, therefore affecting any topic. It can be applied to different processes learning and, consequently, include in any debate. The research aims to carry out empirical work through the analysis of a series of projects in which speculative design has been applied and thus analyze what conditions occur to generate the activation of critical thinking and a change in social attitude. It will be investigated experiences with the capacity to cause an impact at a social, cultural or environmental level. The context in which the research is inscribed is that of those approaches, within the field of design, which seek to challenge conventional thinking and promote innovation. This research is important to the extent that it reflects the extent to which a speculative design project It can change people's habits. Based on the conclusions obtained, the aim is to find an effective methodology that allows or facilitates the application of speculative design to teaching.
