Title: Els infants i les mares de la Maternitat de Les Corts de Barcelona (1960-1970): Respostes per a unes víctimes oblidades
Author: Arantegui, Laura

Abstract: This thesis starts by providing necessary historical context and then focuses on the experiences of children and mothers in two institutions, Casa de Maternitat i Expòsits de Barcelona-Les Corts and Llars Mundet, during the initial decade of late Francoism, specifically from 1960 to 1970. Using statistical data and oral testimonies, we examine the extent of these institutions' involvement in the era's repressive framework and trace children's and mothers' paths through them. We analyse the distinctive and unique aspects of the victimization they suffered, delineating it from other forms of victimization. Lastly, we evaluate what has been done to date to provide reparation for these victims' suffering, and propose a way of doing so that is mindful of their experiences and takes into account its impact on their lifestyles and outlooks.
