Title: Dicotomías antagónicas: lo individual frente a lo colectivo. Un enfoque desde la propuesta de Marina Garcés
Author: Rionda Rodríguez, Julia
Tutor: Bueno Junquero, Adrián
Abstract: This work delves into the exploration of the dichotomy between the individual and the collective within contemporaneity, with an emphasis on the philosophical contributions of Marina Garcés as main conceptual framework. It examines how her proposal reconfigures notions of autonomy, solidarity, interdependence, freedom, and responsibility, trying to build an integrative perspective of society. The research focuses on the influence of vulnerability in this dynamic, as well as on the social nature of human beings and possible alternatives to individualism. A connection is established with Byung-Chul Han's social animality and the quest for a new subjectivity. Methodologically, a philosophical academic approach is followed, making use of the works of Garcés and other contemporary thinkers. It is concluded that Garcés contributions enrich academic discourse by challenging established conceptions and proposing renewed perspectives on emancipation and the new forms of organization and subjects that emerge from this.
