Author: Maestre Gómez, Ane Miren
Tutor: Manzanares Gutiérrez, Ángel
Abstract: The most well-known and recent youth emigration in Spain is the one caused by the 2008 economical crisis, when the millennials, who had recently joined the labor market, were forced to go abroad searching for job opportunities that our country could not offer them. Currently, in a globalized labor market led by the millennial generation, this emigration has not disappeared. This project aims to analyze the reasons that make millennials emigrate abroad for job opportunities nowadays and how can both public institutions and the private sector build millenials’ talent loyalty in Spain. In order to do this, a case study has been carried out among Spanish millennials who emigrated to Hungary in the recent years, through in-depth interviews.
