Abstract: Which are the students' literary references in the textbooks of the Catalan Language and Literature subject? Why does the literary canon contain some authors and not others? Based on a case study of the book that is used in the 4th year of ESO at a charter centre in the Barcelona area, this Master's Thesis analyses the cultural biases that still survive in the teaching of literature and investigate the possibilities of comparative literature in secondary education, understanding it as an educational method that allows us to blur the borders between countries and historical times while including in the curriculum those voices that escape the traditional canon, thus bringing literature closer to the students' interests and social context. Through the results of this research, and with the aim of filling the gaps detected and building an egalitarian and transversal curriculum, I propose an interliterary didactic intervention in the classroom based on a specific literary theme, noucentisme, linking it to the voice of Lola Anglada and feminist literary analysis. Finally, this research will be contrasted with the students’ opinions, collected through a questionnaire.
