Title: Cáscaras de huevo de avestruz decoradas fenicio-púnicas de la Península Ibérica y Baleares
Author: Pedreño Marín, Isabel
Tutor: Mateu Sagues, Marta
Abstract: Decorated ostrich eggshells are elements that have been little investigated in the Phoenician-Punic sites of the Iberian Peninsula and the Balearic Islands, despite their abundance, especially in the funerary field. In this project, the studies dedicated to these products are reviewed, which, as will be seen, go beyond the funerary field, also being present in urban contexts and sanctuaries, as well as in native environments, although still being related to the Phoenicians and Punics. The main sites or those that provide the most interesting data to this issue are highlighted, and it is also intended to emphasize the need for the correct conservation, treatment and musealization of these pieces, with the aim of protecting our cultural heritage.
